Seedling Publications was founded in 1991 by Reading Specialists Josie Stewart and Lynn Salem when they recognized the impact that appropriate reading materials had on the success of young readers. They applied their early literacy training to the creation of high quality "little books" that truly supported young readers. The intent was to provide a child-sized book for a child-sized task, one where success was guaranteed. That goal continues to be an integral part of Seedling’s mission today.
We, Continental Press, are proud to have Seedling Publications as part of our publishing family. Seedling’s products now include long-standing titles, as well as many new products: leveled readers and collections (early emergent to transitional levels), parent and volunteer training materials such as the award-winning Partners Literacy Kit, lap books, ROOTS assessment, the Nursery Rhyme Program, Resource Guide Collections, Sprouts student-created text, and more.
